Lana Carson | Executive Director

Few other people have had as much impact on Pound Buddies as Lana Carson. Currently the Executive Director, Lana began with Volunteers of Muskegon County Animal Control in early 2000 at the Keating location, where she dedicated herself to changing the way shelter animals were cared for…making sure medical treatment was available, promoting adoption opportunities, and defining policies and protocols giving shelter animals a better chance of survival. Lana is a fierce advocate for animals who have been abused, neglected, or exploited and doesn’t hesitate to be the voice for the voiceless. Her dedication has paved the way for new initiatives on shelter management and she continuously strives to provide the best environment for the shelter animals in the care of Pound Buddies.
